Known Issues and Limitations 

We are aware that some areas of beyond.board.com may not yet fully meet the required accessibility standards. All known issues are recorded below, and we are actively working to address these issues and improve the user experience for all visitors. 

• Incorrect or Incomplete Use of ARIA Attributes 
  Some elements use ARIA roles without including the required child elements or without being nested within their required parent roles. Additionally, there are instances of misspelled or invalid aria-* attributes. These issues may impair the effectiveness of assistive technologies such as screen readers (WCAG 4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value).  

• Missing Alternative Text for Images 
  Some image elements do not have alt attributes. This prevents screen reader users from understanding the purpose or content of images, which is a failure of WCAG 1.1.1 – Non-text Content.  

• Improper List Structure 
  Certain list items (<li>) are not properly nested within <ul>, <ol>, or <menu> elements. This can lead to confusion for users navigating content using assistive technologies, violating WCAG 1.3.1 – Info and Relationships.  

• Non-sequential Heading Structure 
  Heading tags are not always used in a descending and logical order. This may disrupt the hierarchical structure of content for users relying on assistive technology (WCAG 1.3.1 – Info and Relationships).  

• Insufficient Color Contrast 
  Some text elements have background and foreground color combinations that do not meet the minimum contrast ratio requirements, potentially affecting readability for users with visual impairments (WCAG 1.4.3 – Contrast Minimum).  

Third-Party Content and Functionality 

We may make use of third-party tools and/or resources that embed content on our website. Wherever possible we will ensure these are conformant with the applicable guidelines and do not impede the accessibility of the website. 

Compliance and Monitoring Approach 

We regularly review our website and content to ensure ongoing compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), particularly relevant for users within the European Union. 

Our reviews are conducted using a combination of manual checks and automated scans by tools including Google Lighthouse. We are also investing in additional accessibility tools to augment this approach and will update this page with further details once they are available.
